This page explains how Myney operates from a regulatory perspective, who is responsible for what, and how your financial data is protected under European law.

Myney is operated by Plutus FIRE Limited, a company registered in Ireland.
- Company registration number (CRO): 807084

How Myney Accesses Your Bank Data
Myney provides account information services — we help you see and understand your financial data across multiple bank accounts in one place.
We do not access your bank data directly. Instead, we work with Enable Banking, a regulated third-party open banking provider authorised under the EU's Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) as an Account Information Service Provider (AISP):
Greece — Enable Banking
Enable Banking is authorised to provide account information services under PSD2 and is responsible for the secure connection between Myney and your Greek bank accounts.
Poland — Enable Banking
Enable Banking is responsible under PSD2 for the secure connection between Myney and your Polish bank accounts.
Pan-European institutions — Enable Banking
Enable Banking is also used for pan-European institutions such as Revolut, N26, Bunq, and similar providers. Enable Banking is authorised under PSD2 and provides the secure connection between Myney and these accounts.
Plutus FIRE Limited itself is not a licensed payment institution or AISP. We operate as a technology platform that relies on the regulatory authorisations held by our open banking partner. All bank data access is performed through its regulated infrastructure.
What Myney Is — and Is Not
Myney is:
- A personal finance tool that aggregates your bank data, tracks spending, and helps you find better deals
- A comparison service that shows alternative providers for energy, telecoms, insurance, subscriptions, and banking products
- A free service funded by referral fees from providers when you choose to switch through us
Myney is not:
- A bank or payment institution — we do not hold deposits, issue credit, or process payments
- An investment advisor — we do not provide investment advice
- An insurance intermediary — we compare insurance offers but do not mediate, sell, or bind insurance contracts
- A credit broker — we do not arrange or facilitate loans or credit products
Provider Comparisons and Switching
When Myney recommends an alternative provider, these recommendations are based on publicly available market data and the information you share with us.
Important things to know:
- Our comparisons are informational, not exhaustive. We aim to cover major providers but may not include every option.
- We are not responsible for third-party services. When you switch to a new provider, your relationship is with that provider, not with us.
- Referral fees do not influence ranking. Our recommendations are ranked by value to you, not by commission we receive.
Data Protection
Plutus FIRE Limited is the data controller for all personal data processed through the Service, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- All data is stored in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany/Finland)
- Bank data is accessed in read-only mode — we cannot move your money or modify your accounts
- We never see or store your bank login credentials
- We do not sell your data to third parties
For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

PSD2 — Your Rights Under Open Banking
Under PSD2, you have the right to:
- Grant and revoke access to your bank data at any time
- Choose which accounts to connect and disconnect
- Know who is accessing your data and for what purpose
When you connect a bank account through Myney, you authenticate directly with your bank. Your bank verifies your identity and grants read-only access to the authorised AISP (Enable Banking). You can revoke this access at any time through the Myney app or directly through your bank.
Consumer Protection
As a consumer in the EU, you have rights under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence. These include:
- Right of withdrawal — for contracts concluded at a distance, you may have a cooling-off period under local consumer law
- Unfair contract terms protection — under the EU Unfair Contract Terms Directive
- Access to alternative dispute resolution — you may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by our Terms of Service.
